Tyco Electronics joins Cisco Technology Developer Program

The AMP Netconnect business unit of Tyco Electronics has joined the Cisco Technology Developer Program (CTDP) as part of the program's IP Communication/Solution Enablers category. AMP Netconnect joins other cabling-industry vendors including ADC, Hubbell Premise Wiring, Ortronics, Panduit, and Siemon in the IP Communications/Solution Enablers category.

The program joins the networking giant with third-party developers of hardware and software to deliver tested interoperable solutions to joint customers.

Additionally, AMP Netconnect's MRJ21 high-density interface successfully completed interoperability testing with Cisco's Catalyst 6500 switch.

According to the CTDP's Web site, the program offers complementary and compatible technologies that help Cisco and program members continuously expand their solution offerings to customers of all sizes. The program ensures that members' products and technologies have verified interoperability, adhere to strict standards, and offer new capabilities.
