CommScope's Claremont, NC facility is the 14th in the company's global manufacturing network to achieve ISO 14001 certification for its implementation and maintenance of an environmental management system. This standard distinguishes a system of practices that minimize impact and analyzes programs for recycling, waste reduction, chemical management, waste disposal, and emissions.
"Thanks to a significant commitment from everyone at CommScope, the vast majority of our distribution and manufacturing facilities are ISO 14001 certified," says John Moore, CommScope's environmental, health, and safety officer. "From the production of our products to the ways in which we help our customers make their businesses more environmentally friendly, our people are dedicated to making CommScope more energy efficient, cost-effective and environmentally responsible."
Claremont is one of the primary manufacturing and product development facilities for CommScope's Enterprise Solutions business.
